Valentines day is right around the corner and I have decided that this year I will be creating a wide array of Valentine jewelry from ceramic and polymer clay. My newest obsession is ceramic clay, I LOVE working with this versatile and beautiful medium.
Last week I created some ceramic hearts from ceramic, it took about two days to dry before I could bisque fire them. The firing itself took about 14 hours from start to finish. After the pieces had cooled I applied non-toxic lead-free glazes to each piece and then repeated another round of firing in the kiln. The results are worth every minute, the pieces turned out beautifully and I am so excited to share my creations with you!
