Diy Salt Scrub by Hippie Chic Jewelz
After reading a very wonderful blog feature on BARE FEET by my wonderful friend and STATTEAM leader Moriah from Mojo3777creations. You can read that feature by clicking this link: http://mojo3777.blogspot.com/2011/07/its-summer-who-needs-shoes.html
I myself, LOVE to run around barefoot, and to get my feet ready to show off my barefoot sandals from Mojo3777creations I use a daily salt scrub that is truly exceptional! Today I am going to share with you my secret to soft, smooth and moisturized tootsie’s! Your little piggies are going to love this Salt Scrub! This salt scrub isnt just limited to use on your feet, I also use this scrub on my hands, elbows and knees!
What you will need:
Coarse Ground Sea Salt (I like to use Sherpa Pink Himalayan Salt)
Olive Oil or Coconut Oil (I use a mixture of both, you can use either one)
Essential Oil (your choice of scent, I like Lavender or Peppermint, the choice is up to you)
An empty container to store you Sea Salt Scrub in
Lets get started!
When the Sea Salt and Oils coat the back of the stirring spoon like the picture above, you can stop stirring. If the sat mixture does not stick to the spoon like such you can add a bit more Olive or Coconut oil until it starts to stick to the spoon.
After your Sea Slat Scrub is mixed, if it isnt as fragrant as you like, you can add more Essential Oil to suite your fragrance fancy. I like mine a bit on the stronger fragrant side, but you can adjust how much fragrance you prefer. All you need to do now is place your Sea Salt Scrub in an airtight container such as a glass jar or plastic container. (Since I made a small batch for this DIY demo, I opted for a small plastic container)
This scrub will last a very long time in an airtight container! Keep out of direct sunlight.
Now you can use this scrub to get your feet Barefoot Sandal ready! This makes a WONDERFUL gift to give friends and family! I love that this is Earth Friendly and you can make it right in your own kitchen!
